Band News/Announcements:
Summer Band Lessons: Summer band lesson schedules have been mailed to those students who have registered.  Lessons will be held on Tuesdays during June at the Northeast Elementary band room.  Please enter through the South doors by the playground/parking lot.  The band room will be the first door on your right.  All students need to bring the lesson book they were working out of when school ended and any scale sheets and/or exercises with them to the lesson.
Used Instrument List   We are currently accepting names of people who have used instruments that they would like to sell.  Please send the following information by email to John Gosnell at john.gosnell@ankenyschools.org. We will need: the type of instrument, brand name of instrument, condition, price you would like to receive, and your name and a phone number where you can be reached.  We will then add your name to an electronic database that will be published in August of 2008.
Winter Weather: If the school day is delayed any amount of time or cancelled due to winter weather, we will not have early band.  Lessons will be as normally scheduled for the remainder of a shortened day.  If school is cancelled we will skip that letter day and assume the next letter day on the following day of school.
