When purchasing or renting an instrument, some of you may choose to find instruments from sources other than local music
stores. The quality of the instrument you purchase for your child will have an impact on their instrumental music
education. It is recommended that you purchase a reputable brand.
The brands listed below are known to be quality instruments that will last and will be easy for your child to play.
They are instruments that you will be able to get repaired by your local music store and that other students have had success
using. If you find an instrument that is not on this list please contact your band director for advice.
